While Cameron’s work has been extensively analysed, her later photographs are little known and less admired. My postgraduate thesis focused on Julia Margaret Cameron's photographs taken in Ceylon from 1875 to 1879. I share Cameron's life in Ceylon with you, offering new insights and reframing existing knowledge and narratives. The journey takes you around Sri Lanka to experience what Julia Margaret Cameron’s life in Ceylon may have been like. Together we will explore the culture, heritage, history, biodiversity, beaches, food, and the people of Sri Lanka. We will be accompanied by a Registered National Tour Guide.
